Terms of Service

1. About MetriKit

MetriKit is a read-only metrics dashboard for independent creators. It connects to platforms you already use — including Twitch, YouTube, Patreon, Instagram, Etsy, Pinterest, and TikTok — and displays your data in one unified view. MetriKit never creates, modifies, or deletes content or data on any connected platform.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using MetriKit, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MetriKit. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@sophieshouse.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Connected Platforms

MetriKit connects to third-party platforms via OAuth. When you connect a platform:

• You authorize MetriKit to read data from that platform on your behalf using the minimum permissions required
• MetriKit will never post, modify, or delete anything on your behalf
• You can disconnect any platform at any time from your account settings
• Disconnecting a platform immediately revokes our access and removes your stored credentials

MetriKit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any connected platform. Platform availability depends on their APIs, which may change without notice.

6. Subscription and Billing

MetriKit is a paid service. Current pricing:

• Monthly: $9.00 per month
• Annual: $79.00 per year
• Free trial: 14 days, no credit card required

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. MetriKit does not store your payment information.

7. Data and Privacy

MetriKit takes your privacy seriously:

• Platform credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
• We collect only the data necessary to provide the service
• No personally identifiable information is written to application logs

8. Your Public Profile

MetriKit lets you publish an optional public profile at a shareable web address. Publishing a profile and sharing its link is your choice. You control which sections are visible through your profile settings, and you are responsible for the information you choose to make public.

You agree to publish only information you have the right to share, and not to include unlawful, infringing, or misleading content on your public profile. We may remove a public profile, or suspend the public-profile feature for an account, if it is used in violation of these Terms. Aggregate metrics shown on your profile are derived from connected-platform data and are presented as-is, subject to the data-accuracy terms below.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use MetriKit for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service
• Use the service to violate the terms of any connected platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure

10. Data Accuracy

MetriKit displays data as provided by connected platform APIs. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data shown. Platform API limitations, delays, or changes may affect what data is available. Where data is estimated or incomplete, we will say so clearly.

11. Limitation of Liability

MetriKit is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Ocean State Instrumentation LLC is not liable for:

• Interruptions in platform API availability
• Inaccuracies in data provided by third-party platforms
• Loss of revenue or business decisions made based on data displayed in the service
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of MetriKit shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of MetriKit after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@sophieshouse.app.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. How Your Metrics Are Calculated

MetriKit is transparent about where every number comes from. We only ever read the data you explicitly connect — we never post to or change anything on your accounts — and we compute every figure from that data using the flow below.

Most headline numbers are a change over a time window, not a lifetime total. For each one we take a snapshot at the start of the window and compare it to now:

• New Followers / Unfollows — your net follower gain or loss per platform over the window, summed. Gains show under New Followers, losses under Unfollows; neither is ever shown negative.
• Growth Rate — net follower change divided by your followers at the start of the window, averaged across platforms and weighted by audience size.
• Interactions — likes, comments, shares and saves gained on your recent posts during the window, plus interactions on Instagram stories posted in the window.
• Views — views gained during the window.
• Engagement Rate — interactions during the window divided by your current follower count.
• Total Followers — the sum of your current follower counts across all connected platforms (a live total, not a window).

New accounts: the 7- and 30-day windows need history to fill in. If we don’t yet have data as far back as the window start, we measure from the earliest point we have — so a range always reflects everything we’ve tracked for you, and a longer range never shows less than a shorter one. Time windows are measured in UTC.

Which signals roll up into each metric:

Some platforms report certain figures as rolling recent-window totals rather than exact lifetime counts, so a windowed change is a close estimate rather than an exact tally. We never invent data: where a platform cannot provide a metric, we show a dash (“—”) rather than a zero.
