Terms of Service

1. About Sophie's House

Sophie's House is a read-only metrics dashboard for independent creators. It connects to platforms you already use — including Twitch, YouTube, Patreon, Instagram, Etsy, Pinterest, and TikTok — and displays your data in one unified view. Sophie's House never creates, modifies, or deletes content or data on any connected platform.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Sophie's House, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Sophie's House. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@sophieshouse.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Connected Platforms

Sophie's House connects to third-party platforms via OAuth. When you connect a platform:

• You authorize Sophie's House to read data from that platform on your behalf using the minimum permissions required
• Sophie's House will never post, modify, or delete anything on your behalf
• You can disconnect any platform at any time from your account settings
• Disconnecting a platform immediately revokes our access and removes your stored credentials

Sophie's House is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any connected platform. Platform availability depends on their APIs, which may change without notice.

6. Subscription and Billing

Sophie's House is a paid service. Current pricing:

• Monthly: $9.00 per month
• Annual: $79.00 per year
• Free trial: 14 days, no credit card required

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Sophie's House does not store your payment information.

7. Data and Privacy

Sophie's House takes your privacy seriously:

• Platform credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
• We collect only the data necessary to provide the service
• No personally identifiable information is written to application logs

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Sophie's House for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service
• Use the service to violate the terms of any connected platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure

9. Data Accuracy

Sophie's House displays data as provided by connected platform APIs. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data shown. Platform API limitations, delays, or changes may affect what data is available. Where data is estimated or incomplete, we will say so clearly.

10. Limitation of Liability

Sophie's House is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Ocean State Instrumentation LLC is not liable for:

• Interruptions in platform API availability
• Inaccuracies in data provided by third-party platforms
• Loss of revenue or business decisions made based on data displayed in the service
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Sophie's House shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sophie's House after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@sophieshouse.app.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
